(Lusby Hardware) was founded in 1921 at its present location of 155 Main Street in Prince Frederick. Five generations of the Lusby family have worked at the store. Starting out as a car garage, Lusby Motor Company evolved into a hardware and farm supply store in the 1930’s. Cars, trucks, and agriculture equipment were added shortly thereafter. It is the oldest continually operating store in Calvert County, Maryland.
Today, True Value hardware and John Deere headline our product lines, which also include Toro, Scag, and Stihl. All John Deere, Toro, and Scag products may be delivered to your home or business, where we will demonstrate how to use the equipment. This gives you a piece of mind that your equipment will be ready for immediate use.
We strongly feel that our quality service separates us from the competition. We can service 99% of all the products that we sell. Our parts department is fully stocked and, if we do not have a part available, we can order one to be sent to the store usually within three days. Lusby Hardware offers inspection, repair, and maintenance on all your John Deere, Toro, Scag, and Stihl equipment.
